Every Sunday morning at 11:00 am.
Gourock Baptist Church is at the corner of Shore Street and King Street in Gourock. You can get driving, walking, or public transport directions by clicking here.
Our worship service is relaxed and informal. There is no dress code and people wear what makes them comfortable – for some that is a suit or dress, while for others it is jeans. Babies, toddlers, and children are welcome in the service and you need not feel anxious about their wee stirrings.
Each service begins with worship led by the praise band and prayer led by the pastor or a member of the church. Our pastor, or sometimes a guest preacher, then prepares to preaches God’s Word. As part of our service, all those who love Christ are encouraged to join us for a time of communion if they wish. We close our service with a special song, wishing one another God’s blessings for the week to come.
After the service, everyone is invited to stay for coffee, tea, and biscuits. It’s a nice time to meet people and say hello.
Most Sundays our pastor, Rev. Ian Millar, leads worship and delivers the sermon. We have guest preachers one Sunday each month.
